Taylor Swift has announced that she will be going on a stadium tour around the U.S. in 2023. On November 1st, Swift took to Instagram to announce her tour, saying, “I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!)” The tour is set to start on March 18th of 2023 in Glendale, Arizona.
This news is no surprise to her fans. Ever since Swift announced her 10th (not including her re-recordings) album, Midnights, her dedicated and longtime fans have been theorizing about a tour announcement that could possibly go with the new music. Swifties are excited about the tour and about where Taylor could go with the tour. Since Swift has a wide range of genres in her music and a large discography, there’s a lot of room for fans to ponder what she’ll do with her catalog. Swifties are also excited about the opening acts that have also been announced to play on The Eras Tour. Paramore, beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, girl in red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWENN are all possible openers depending on the area the concert is in.
Fans are already saving up for tickets and signing up for presale in hopes of making the competition for tickets a little easier for themselves. This tour is hugely essential for fans and Swift herself. Due to the pandemic, Swift had to cancel Lover Fest, a tour for her 2019 album Lover. Now that she’s able to tour again, it’s clear Taylor and her fans are excited. The tour seems to be a celebration of all of Taylor Swift’s eras over the years and it means a lot to her fans. The fight for tickets isn’t going to be easy and the earliest date to buy tickets is November 15th for the Verified Fan presale. After that, tickets will be on sale the following Friday.
