Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Spoiler-Free Review

I was fortunate enough to see the newest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe last Thursday, and I am glad to say it was a beautiful close to Marvel’s Phase 4.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever sparked a lot of debate over what they were going to do, since the original Black Panther, the late Chadwick Boseman, passed away back in 2020. People fought over who would take up the mantle of Black Panther, and how the plot would play out due to the absence of the actor.

While it was heartbreaking to see the late actor missing from the big screen, they made the movie not only a beautiful dedication to him, but to everyone who had been struggling to grow around the grief of his passing. The movie had amazing visuals, and whether or not you have or want to see it in 2D or 3D, you still feel like you’re immersed in their world.

You might hear some people say that the movie should’ve been broken up into a Disney+ series, as it had several different directions. Whether that be the characters trying to cope with T’Challa’s passing, the next person to take on the Black Panther mantle, or what was going on with the underwater civilization that was featured in the trailer. I personally believe that the movie was fine in itself and the creation of a show would’ve taken away from the impact a movie would have.

This movie is about the nation of Wakanda not only protecting itself from nations above land, but also from nations below land due to rising arguments and conflict between them. While this movie isn’t entirely similar to what our reality is like, it’s a powerful movie that will likely bring you to tears. I recommend bringing tissues!

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to release on November 11th, 2022.
