For the first time in many years, Barberton High School hosted a marching band show on Saturday, October 15. Bands from all over the state drove to Rudy Sharkey Stadium to perform their own music and watch others do the same.
Twelve bands were invited to perform along with the Barberton Alumni Band, Rogues Hollow Regiment, and our own Barberton Musical Magics Marching Band. In addition to all of the bands, the BHS Cheerleaders and the Barberton Sparkles were invited to perform at halftime. Everyone performed beautifully and the cheers were outstanding.
To end the night, all twelve bands, along with the Barberton Marching Band, got together on the field and played God Bless the USA. It was a lovely show filled with harmonic sound and a picture of unity between schools. The show illustrated how supportive the bands are of each other. The band hopes to see everyone supporting the Barberton Musical Magics at all of their performances this coming year!
