This November a sequel to A Christmas Story came out titled A Christmas Story Christmas. From the look of the trailers, I didn’t have the best idea of this movie and I kept a very open mind knowing the sequels are never as good as the original, but I was pleasantly surprised. When I watched it, I was sincerely blown away. It was a perfect movie for a sequel. It kept the warm feel of the first movie but with twists and turns. The movie has the feel of Christmas while playing into your heartstrings. I believe that they really did an amazing job with this movie. Returning from the original cast was Peter Billingsley as the Iconic Ralphie Parker, Scott Schwartz, R.D. Robb, Ian Petrella, Zack Ward, and Yano Anaya. It points towards how the parents feel around Christmas time, all the chaos that ensues, but in the end, everyone is happy as long as you are with your family and making memories. Some of the shots from the film feel so real like you’re living inside the movie. The movie also shows the childish nature of growing up but the idea that you never truly grow out of being a kid, especially during Christmas time. This is a perfect movie for families to watch over Christmas. I don’t believe this movie could have been any better. I advise anyone to watch this movie and keep in mind the lifelong memories you can make even with your family.
